FiL has tested for adequate quality for normal road use. The tests we performed with the same setting and fixture for all filters, done in a short period of time on the same testing machine. Testing base on JIS D 1611 (Japanese Industrial Standard).Testing determines filtering ability according to the various engineering specifications as well as specialized requirements for automotive filters.

7. Drain back oil quantity test
8. Bubble test

To determine filter efficiency, a special valve allows contaminants to flow directly into the test filter. To rate filter elements and filter assemblies easily, this test method determines percent filtering efficiency on a single pass basis for specific contaminant particle sizes or size ranges.
